Our Staff

Our administrator and tutors are available to help make your experience at Veritas of Southwest Georgia as pleasant, educational, and edifying as possible. Each of our staff has undergone a rigorous application process (including interview, personal testimony, and criminal background check) to ensure that they: 1. love the lord, 2. love children, and 3. love to teach.

CORY WISE – Veritas Classical Schools SWGA Director, Albany Campus Site Director, High School Humanities Tutor (Albany Campus)

Cory received an Associated Degree in Electronics from Community College of the Air Force. He then received a B.S. in Pastoral Ministry from Dallas Baptist University. Cory currently serves as the Pastor of LifeGate Church and has been a homeschooling father since 1996. He has taught Speech, Outdoor Adventures, Soccer Skills, Bible, and a number of other classes for homeschool enrichment programs. In 1993, he serves as a high school class monitor and coach for an A.C.E. school in Texas. From 1996 to 1998, Cory served as a classroom substitute in the Breckenridge ISD. Coaching and/or refereeing youth sports have also kept him busy for the past 20 years.

 

RON KOOY - Middle School Humanities Tutor

Ron received a B.S. in History and Philosophy from Trinity Christian College. He then received a Masters of Education with a focus on School Leadership & Administration from Calvin College. Whether he was teaching and/or holding the position of principal, Ron has been in Christian education since the fall of 1974. He enjoys having the opportunity to glorify God and serve others through the gifts of teaching, leadership, and administration. Ron loves the opportunities that Veritas offers to homeschooling families, and believes this to be one of the finest expressions of Christian education that he has the privilege of working with.

NICHOLE WISE – 5th/6th Grade Humanities Tutor (Albany Campus), High School Latin Tutor (Albany Campus)

Niki received her Associates Degree in History from Darton College. In addition to being a homeschooling mother, Nichole is married to Cory. They have four children from 24yrs of age down to 12yrs. Nichole has served as the director of three different homeschooling programs in three different states (Texas, Colorado, and Georgia). She has led women’s ministries, creative teams, children’s and youth ministries, and is presently coordinating the media team at her church. Nichole is a published writer and does some freelance web design on the side. She plans to resume her pursuit of a bachelor’s degree this fall.
